Born in around 1342 BC, Tutankhamun was only nine years old when he became a pharaoh and just 18 when he died. However, his body was mummified and his golden coffin was buried surrounded by 5,000 priceless treasures. This tomb was found some 3,000 years later by British archaeologists in 1922, providing an intriguing insight into the life of the Egyptian King.

In the largest Tutankhamun exhibition ever to tour, TUTANKHAMUN: Treasures of the Golden Pharaohfascinating artefacts from the tomb will come to London one final time before they permanently go on display in the brand-new Grand Museum in Cairo.

Day 1: Make your own way to London this morning, then upon arrival enjoy some free time exploring the city before checking in to the Tower Hotel in the afternoon. The rest of the day is then free to continue discovering this exciting city. Perhaps enjoy a spot of shopping on Oxford Street or take a cruise along the Thames – the choice is yours!

Day 2: After breakfast at the hotel, make your way to the Saatchi Gallery in Chelsea for the Tutankhamun: Treasures of the Golden Pharaoh exhibition. After your visit, spend some more time exploring London and return home when you choose.
