The JG Travel Group is a leading provider of group travel offering exciting and diverse value for money tours, ranging from short breaks, classic seaside resort holidays, heritage tours, London theatre breaks/ attractions, and European holidays, including Cruises, through a number of distinct brands.

Alongside the vast array of offline marketing materials issued to our customer base on a regular basis, we actively use the website and email campaigns to ensure a strong digital presence. To help maintain and grow this channel of our business we are looking for an enthusiastic Web & Email Marketing Executive.

Working within the Digital Marketing team, this role will administer and manage all aspects of the JG Travel Groups’ websites (Just Go!, National Holidays, Cruise Connections & Albion Journeys) including uploading and updating content. In addition, build and design the email marketing campaigns for JGTG brands

We are looking for someone with proven digital experience and web skills, with a good eye for design. A self-starter who is able to work independently and as part of a team and is extremely web literate/digitally savvy with experience of using the Adobe Creative Suite (in particular Photoshop and Dreamweaver), specific accountabilities include:

  • To create and maintain web pages and other online updates, producing content that is consistent with brand guidelines and brand values.
  • To produce web landing pages and updates for specific campaigns and promotions, using a bespoke content management system and other development tools.
  • Manage website maintenance (copy, password reset, problem solving bugs across platforms).
  • To identify and report any technical website issues and implement minor fixes where applicable.
  • To create, test and send email marketing campaigns using our ESP Force 24; Track, report and understand their effectiveness and ensure the sign-up process is optimised across all brands.
  • Work with our external partners on implementation of back-end website changes and front-end projects.
  • Assisting on CRO (UX/UI) of the sites working with our external partners in testing and also solo projects to update sites with best working practices (e.g. buttons, fields, visual formats).
  • Liaising internally with IT on projects that have a crossover and helping out with data capture (contact forms, competitions etc).
  • Working on administrative and project related activity and ad hoc projects.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to hand code and debug in HTML so experience in HTML and CSS, specifically with knowledge of building templates in HTML tables is useful, along with understanding of website structure and layouts and FTP client software.

Use of content management systems, JavaScript and jQuery and some experience with reporting packages such as Google Analytics is desirable.
