Christmas Carols by Candlelight - 2 day

Get in the festive spirit with a memorable evening of traditional Christmas carols and seasonal classics staged at Central Hall Westminster. The Mozart Festival Orchestra in full period costume, together with singers from the Mozart Festival Chorus perform a medley of seasonal classics from Handel to Pearsall together with traditional carols including O Come, All Ye Faithful and Hark! the Herald Angels Sing. Mixed with readings from Dickens and the Scriptures, this is the perfect opportunity to indulge in traditional Christmas carols and wonderful festive choral pieces. Central Hall Westminster will also be beautifully decorated in a candle-lit style setting making this is a magnificent celebration of the festive season.

We’ll also enjoy some free time in England’s buzzing capital where you can explore this exciting city at your leisure.

We’ll stay at a well-appointed 3 or 4-star hotel in the Heathrow area. The comfortable rooms are en suite and other facilities include a bar and restaurant.

The Tower Hotel looks over the River Thames and is neighbour to some of the city’s most iconic sights including St Katharine Docks, Tower Bridge and one of London’s World Heritage Sites, The Tower of London. The hotel is a 7 minute walk from Tower Hill tube station and Tower Gateway DLR, and there are also bus and river links nearby, making it a convenient and easy base for exploring the city. The hotel’s Brasserie Restaurant is the perfect place to enjoy great food, and there’s a terrace for alfresco dining during the summer months. Alternatively, try the Xi bar and lounge for snacks and drinks. There’s a fitness centre for guests’ use. Free, unlimited Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel.  Room amenities include air conditioning, flat screen TV with Freeview, iron/ironing board, mineral water, tea/coffee making facilities, and a safe.

Day 1: From a pickup in your local area, we travel to our hotel. After check-in and some time to relax, our coach will take us into London, dropping us near Central Hall Westminster. Here we can find somewhere for dinner at our leisure, before our show starts. After the show, our coach will pick us up and take us back to our hotel for the night.

Day 2: After breakfast, we’ll have some free time to enjoy London at leisure. From the Houses of Parliament to Nelson’s Column and the London Eye, there are many iconic landmarks to admire. Alternatively, head to Oxford Street for a spot of retail therapy or simply take a stroll through Hyde Park, one of the capital's eight Royal Parks. We’ll depart for home in the mid-afternoon.

Day 1: Take the train to London from your local station. Spend the day at your leisure and check in to your hotel in the afternoon. Enjoy the evening performance at Central Hall Westminster, and then return to your hotel after the show for your overnight stay.

Day 2: Start the day with breakfast at the hotel, then your time is your own to explore London. From the Houses of Parliament to Nelson’s Column and the London Eye, there are many iconic landmarks to admire. Alternatively, head to Oxford Street for a spot of retail therapy or simply take a stroll through Hyde Park, one of the capital's eight Royal Parks. Then make your way to the station for your train home.

Accessibility: In most cases, event tickets will be for seats located in middle or upper tiers of the venue which may require the negotiation of steps/stairs and therefore may not be suitable for those with limited mobility. While most venues have lift access, these may not serve all seating areas. There may also be some walking involved from the coach drop-off point to the entrance of the venue.
